Despite output not really hitting the specified numbers, the output does look pretty good. I can’t say I’d want the light to stay on turbo for much longer – the light is remarkably hot in hand during this level of output. The device has only 3 modes – the infinity mode, which allows you to scroll anywhere between 96 and 8,000 lumens; the turbo mode at 11,000 lumens; and the firefly mode, which is a very soft 3 lumens. Firefly mode is perfect for midnight trips to the bathroom without waking up the rest of the household.

The temperature readings are another interesting thing though. I have Kapton tape over the sensor itself so that it doesn’t scratch any lights, so this may be part of the lower rise in temperature there vs what I thought it would be. This thing gets HOT. I touched the heat sinking fins at 70 minutes for some unknown reason, and I now have a lovely smooth line on my finger where my fingerprint used to be. Not fun. For this reason, I have the image of me holding it in a firefighter’s glove, and it’s still quite warm through that. The temperature stays up, even quite a while after the light is off.

The lens comes with protective film so make sure to remove it before the first use. An anti-relective(AR) coating allows for maximum light throught he hardened mineral-glass lens. What I mean is, you get more lumens per dollar spent than the vast majority of flashlights on the market.
