About this deal

Alison carefully broke down her overall thoughts into sections so I could easily go back to these thoughts individually in my revision process. Alison: I first saw El’s artwork while studying in Ghana in 1995, and I’ve sought opportunities to see it ever since. The details here are fantastic, including a bizarre map of the UK, the spare helmet shelf and someone nipping off to the gents.

Allan Ahlberg is one of the UK's most acclaimed and successful authors of children's books - including the best-selling Jolly Postman series.Innovative, funny and moving, his work encompasses storybooks, picture books, easy readers, joke books and novels as well as poems.

Then I try to work out what that character's story is, or maybe I imagine dropping them into a situation that I think has lots of potential for laughs or a great story. This award-winning, fun and engaging board game encourages strategic thinking and is perfect for 2-4 players age 7 years and over. The feedback she provides, both overall comments and line edits, is professional, helpful, and encouraging.

Obviously Bad Nana deserves a mention as I explained in the last answer and I want to be her when I grow up. While putting together notes for an upcoming panel at KidLitCon this weekend, “What We’ve Learned as Debut Authors,” I thought about the list of book promotion activities that I would recommend to other debut authors. They come with classic Ahlberg names like Grabber Dan, Billy-the-Bag and best of all crime Queenpin, Grandma Swagg. And coming in three different shades of relaxing purple (plus a gazillion—okay, 60+—other soothing colors), your bookworm will love it too. This one comes in a choice of six sizes and a bevy of housing and ink color options for the ultimate in personalization.

High-Quality Materials: Made with comfortable and durable materials for a hassle-free and enjoyable dress-up experience. For bookworms, there’s really nothing better than snuggling up under a cozy throw while absolutely devouring a delicious read. That’s probably because book-related gifts are the things we’d most want to receive—so they tend to be the thing we gift the most, too.

Well, sometimes it's the way I described above or sometimes I remember something about my childhood, or my daughter's childhood and that will start an idea. Then when I got older and bit more confident I think I was still mainly good, but I would enjoy a giggle (the one where you are in a situation where your absolutely must NOT giggle - THE BEST! I bought this book after hearing Sara Lancashire reading snippets from it on BBC's excellent Happy Valley.

Then I let that story play out in my head, a bit like a little movie, where I follow them around and see what they get up to. There’s also a guide to Oprah’s Book Club, which any hardcore reader ~should~ already be familiar with—but they won’t hate the reminder.

Others are sweet accessories that flaunt how much they adore reading, from teeny book-shaped pins to literary socks. Investigating El’s artistic processes inspired me to re-think my own art-making techniques and what is possible.
